Here comes the bride....

So I have big news!! My best friend is getting married!!!! YAY!!!! I am so excited. Its so amazing that two such wonderful people have found each other. And you should see that rock! I am gonna get a picture of it and post it. Its craziness. Oh and the best part?? I'm a bridesmaid.....and its in December so I will be looking pretty good by then (hopefully). I am sooooooooo happy for you little Jenn Jenn! *tear* I love you! Ahhh....don't you love Christmas weddings?

Wow!

Sorry! I know that it has been awhile since I have blogged. I am doing good and recovering well. I'm back to my old self again and can walk upright and I don't have to carry my belly pillow with me everywhere I go. LOL! I went shopping the other day and bought a size smaller in shirts than I usually do. I am pleased with my progress so far. I am scared of losing too fast though. I "weigh in" tomorrow so I will update. I am ready to go back to work....gah I never thought that I would say that but I am. The vacation has been nice but I get bored and I stay up all night and sleep all day so I am ready to get back on track. Thank you to my loyal visitors, callers, texters....I appreciate everyone that has worried about me and been there for encouragement. The first couple of weeks were kinda rough so thanks to everyone that was there for me. Everyone else can kiss my ass! Haha...j/p....or am I? Haha! : )

I'm home!

So I got home yesterday. The surgery went well. Dr. Warnock said that I was a model patient. Haha. I am still pretty sore when I get up and walk around so I hope this goes away soon. I am so happy that its over with. I can't believe I actually did it. Its so weird. The worst part of the whole thing was that NO ONE (including 2 anesthesiologists) could find a vein to start an IV...so they stuck me 8 FREAKIN TIMES. Yeah my arms are pretty bruised up but I am ok. Its hurt sooooo bad....then my dad saw me crying so he teared up and left the room, then my mom and sister started crying....so emotional. And I have been really emotional since the surgery. I guess thats normal though. After surgery there were about 20 of my dearest friends are family members waiting for me. And going through this, I realized how lucky I am. I don't really remember anything from Monday....at all.....I was severely drugged up but I have been told that I was very lovey dovey and touchy feely....haha thats not me at all so I was surprised. But I made everyone laugh so thats good. My mom and Brian really took/take care of me. She comes over during the day and then Brian has night duty. Of course mom has been doing a great job job but I am really pleasantly surprised by Brian. He hasn't even complained once...even when I wake him up 4 times a night to help me go to the bathroom. Haha. He just does it with a smile on his face. So it hasn't been bad at all. I go Saturday to get the rest of my staples taken out and I will have them weigh me and update everyone. I lost 21 pounds on my pre-op diet. YAY! So anyways, tomorow I can have oatmeal and saltines and Saturday I can have peanut butter and cheese. So even though the thought of food makes me sick right now, if I have to eat something, that stuff aint too bad. Well I guess I better get ready for bed....big day of breathing exercizes and Dr. Phil tomorrow. : )

I'm bringin' skinny back

5 more days!!!!! OMG....I can't believe it. Ahhh I am pretty nervous. I have been on my liquid protein diet since Friday and have lost 12 pounds....wtf? Yeah these protein drinks are effing disgusting. I have tried several different brands and flavors and they are all gross. Maybe after my surgery I will have a new found love for them?? Yeah prolly not. : ( So Monday's the day....I am scared but soooooooo excited. I am just so thankful that I have such supportive people in my life.

So all this Thanksgiving crap sucks. I can't eat...so whats the point in going? (Sorry to any of my family who may be reading this.) LOL! Saturday was my best friends birthday party at Krank It and I couldn't even party it up with everyone else. I'm not much of a drinker anyways but its usually MY decision. haha. But I still had a blast!!

So I will leave you with this....for all of you who are dreading going back to work on Monday.....at least you won't be cut open on an operating table with 6 people looking at you naked!

And then it hit me

OMG 10 days until I'm a new woman! I am starting to get nervous now.

So I had my information class all day yesterday, and then my last appt with Dr. Warnock before my surgery. They also did my EKG......and didn't tell me that they were going to....so I hadn't shaved my legs in like 2 weeks. LOL. I think it was a little uncomfortable for Brian, it being a naked thing and all. And then it hit me.....omg.....I am really doing this. Dr. Warnock came in and talked to us for a bit and then he got really serious and said "Candace, do you realize what you are about to do? And are you 100% sure that this is what you want?" I didn't even need to think about it. Of course this is what I want to do. Then he said " Ok lets do it. I'll see you in 10 days." He also told me that all my husband needed to worry about was all the money he was going to have to spend buying me new clothes. Haha! Aint that the truth! Me and my momma went to wally world to get my "new food" last night.....it was fun. I am kinda excited to see how I am going to like this stuff. I'll let ya know.

Tick Tock

Only 2 WEEKS UNTIL MY SURGERY!!!

I am getting very excited! I'm still a little nervous, but ready. The time has flown by. So Thursday is my last day of "real" food. I will be going on my salad diet on Friday for 7 days and then for the 3 days prior to my surgery, I will only be able to have liquids.....AHHHH!!!!! YUM YUM! I really don't know how I am going to do it because I get hunger pains really bad. I guess I have no choice though...ugggghhh!

So anyways, I had a good weekend. It was pretty LAZY but good. Friday we had some people over and then I spent Saturday with my little angel Tifinee. Yesterday I just cleaned house, did laundry and watched Kenley. It was a nice day. But they are all nice days if you are happy. And I just couldn't be better right now. I am exactly where I want to be! : ) FINALLY!!!

Something new

MY SURGERY IS 3 WEEKS FROM TODAY!!!! OHHH and just to give you a little glimpse of what's to come.....I am exactly the same height and weight as Star Jones when she got her gastric bypass surgery.....take a little look at that!!!

So anyways, I had a pretty good weekend. Brian's birthday party was fun. All of the important people came. : ) We all ate and then headed over to Chuck E. Cheese's for Hannah's birthday party...then it was grand central station in my living room. Haha! Daniel, Amanda, the kids, Jenn, and Tito came over and we all hung out until pretty late. God I couldn't ask for better friends. Saturday was a pretty lazy day and then we had family time on Sunday at my grammas house...and I got to take home all of the food since I won't get to eat it anymore. LOL!

So anyways, I am going to start a new little something with my blog.....its called, the quote of the day.....only I won't have it everyday....just when I feel like it. haha! So here is today's...

Me lately

Well I haven't really blogged about me lately so I know its killing everyone to know what I have been up to lately. Ha. Well, last night Daniel, Amanda, the kids, Tito, and Jenny boo boo came over and I made dinner. It was pretty good. Ya'll missed it! Last weekend was a crashing bore. lol. I didn't do much, but me and Jenn watched scary movies all day on Sunday. And ok lemme tell you.....seeing little Jenny Gump (all grown up) naked in a movie was too weird.....ahhh.....too much.
So this week should be just as boring as its predecessor. I have no plans yet, which is really unusual. My family reunion is this weekend but I am not going. I'm thinkin about taking in a little Christmas Magic action. Friday is Brian's bday/party so that will be fun. Well, I know this is absolutely boring....so I'll stop. Preists I'm out!

Brian's birthday

For all who don't know....next Friday (November 7th) will be Brian's birthday party at El Mejicano at 7 pm. Its not a surprise so don't worry about keeping it a secret. This will also be my last go 'round with a buffet so I guess its a double celebration. Haha!

Let's talk Britney!

So you haven't been up to date on the latest Britney Spear's news?? Fear not! As a long time member of the Britney Spears fan club, I am informed of the latest info first! Haha! Now, even though I pay for it, I would be more than happy to share with you people some amazing news that I found out!! Brit Brit is going on tour in January and Dallas is one of 20 U.S. cities that she will be performing at.......so of course, we all know who will be there!!!!! Backstage.....anxiously awaiting to meet her idol! So its gonna be hard to keep my cool but I am gonna play the chill card. I just have a feeling she will want to be best friends (sorry Jenn and Jamie....this is Britney we are talking about!) hahaha! Anyways, so if anyone wants to come along....I would love that. ROADTRIP!! And I get discount tickets for being a member of the fan club. OH and in other amazing Brit news....her new song "Womanizer" broke records and went from #96 on Billboard Top 100 list to NUMBER FREAKIN 1.......in 1 week! That is amazing!! If you haven't seen the video, you should. She looks amazing. Shes back!!!!!

Just relaxin'

So this was an alright weekend. Friday me, Markie, Jenn, and Aimee went to Parade of Spas...it was pretty fun. We got lots of free stuff - which is always nice. After that, me, Brian, and Markie went to Hastings and bought a few movies and then went back to the house and watched Over Her Dead body. It was alright. Saturday was work around the house day I guess. We painted doors and trim and I trimmed the hedge and made my round bush round again....ONLY....I stepped into a fire ant pile and got stung 17 million times. It sucked. So I stopped for the day. LOL! Yesterday we just hung out at the house, went to eat, and then watched 30 Days Of Night...it was ok (in the words of my dear Jamie! LOL).

I am pumped because I don't have any Dr. appts this week. Ohhh but they are coming. I dont want them taking my blood or any of that nonsense. Ahhh...what did I sign myself up for! I guess pain is beauty though right? ANYWAYS....so I guess that it is for today.

Soooo scary!

So as we speak, Brian, Daniel, and Amanda are in my living room watching the scariest movie of all time....A Haunting In Connecticut. Its about a family that moves into a house that was formerly a funeral home. WTF?? Anyways, as most of you know, I worked at a funeral home for some time. I was never scared there or thought the place was haunted...people are already dead when they get there right?? Yeah well that does not mean that I would want to go moving into one! Ahhh...anyways, its a "true" story. Its the scariest thing I have ever watched and I hate it! So Candy girl is keeping her fragile little mind sane and stayin out of there!

On a brighter note.....Parade of Spas is tomorrow and me, Markie, Jenn, and Amanda are going to have some fun. YAY! 2 girls days this weekend!!! I will post some pics of our adventure later on. TTYL!!!

So we had a pretty good weekend. We walked for the cure and went to eat. Then me and Jenn swung by my grandparents house for a bit and then came back to mi casa and commenced with girls day. We watched Amityville Horror and Transamerica......ok that was a screwed up movie....and quite boring. Sunday was a lazy day. Me and Brian were both lazy so we just ordered take out and watched 88 minutes. It was pretty good.

Little Jamison called in this morning and left us all alone. It was bullcrap! haha! j/p! GOD I love her!

SHOUT OUT to Danny - Jenn's dad is having gastric bypass surgery tomorrow morning! He is gonna be lookin good for his beautiful wife!

So anyhoo, well that about sums it up...anyone have any thoughts on IV's?? They freak me out a little.....ok... LOVE!

I'm so excited!

Well Friday was fun I guess....Saturday was the wedding. I was a wreck all day. My little angel got married. Me and Jenn got to the church at 2:00 and right when I walked into the bridesmaids room I broke down in tears and that pretty much continuted the rest of the night. The wedding was gorgeous and the reception was a blast! The Kemp Center was beautiful....but not as beautiful as Tiffy Love Bug! We sure did dance the night away didn't we guys? LOL! My calves are still sore....booo......but not for long!! So my gastric bypass surgery is definitely scheduled for December 1st at 7:00 am...but I have to check into the hospital at 5am...BOOOO.....so I am happy, scared, excited, nervous, optimistic and pessimistic all at once. I have never had surgery or even been to the hospital other than to visit people, so this is a whole new thing for me. Its freakin scary. But I know that I will have soooo many people there for support so I am thankful for that.

Golly, this is a busy month....not only do I have to diet (UGH) but this weekend is race for the cure, next week is Parade of Spas, then Amandas birthday party, Brians birthday party....and all of my pre-op appts for my surgery. OMG....how am I gonna do all of this?? Hmmm......Jamie or Jenn should go get my blood work done for me! LOL! haha!

Over the past few months, I have noticed several little fun things that come along with being a homeowner.......things that I would normally pick up the phone and call my landlord to deal with....but noooooo......so I was taking a bath the other night and all of a sudden BLACK sewer water starting coming into the tub and shooting out of the toilet! You have never seen a big girl jump out of a bathtub so fast! LOL! So 2 days and $155.00 later....its fixed. Plumbers are expensive but hey...they earn every penny! Thanks again!!

OHHH MYYYYY GOSHHHH!!!

So I have ab fab news!! I just got approved for my gastric bypass surgery today!!! Isn't that amazing? They already denied me once and I had almost given up hope but I called today to check the status of the appeal and what???? She said "ummm accoring to these notes, you have been approved Candace" I just started crying my eyes out like a loser.......but anyways.....this is a magical day and I wanted to share it with you all.

Update

So this weekend didn't go quite how I planned but it was fun none the less! Netflix is awesome!! YESSS!!! This time we got Lars and the real girl - RETARDED, Wrong Turn 2, and Enchanted - that was a greattttt movie! I recommend it to everyone! So anways, this is gonna be a busy week for me. Between wedding stuff, lingerie parties, nails/toes and El Gordos night.....my week is filling up fast. I have to take a day to just relax...or I will die. AHHHH!! So STILL no word on my surgery. WTF ever! I am on hold with them now. We will see what they have to say!!

Busy girl!

Sooo tonight is little love bug's bachelorette party!! WHOO HOOO!! I have to get a little emotional right quick. I am gonna cry my freakin eyes out at your wedding little angel! You are my baby and I see you as more of a sister than a cousin. We are gonna have a blast tonight little Tiffersmooch! So anyhootus.....tonight we party, tomorrow we falls fest. So me, Jenn, Jamie, Brooke, and prolly the baby are going to falls fest to party up Wichita Falls!! LOL! WHOOP WHOOP NUKKA!! So we are looking forward to that. Next weekend would be the wedding and October 11th is race for the cure......the girls are walking for Jenn's little angel Mamu! She lost her in July and we are doing this for her!! So ol Candy poo poo, Jenn, Jamie and M.J. are walking it out yo! OMG I am prolly gonna die....but Jamie promised to walk slow for me..because as most of you know...I am the slowest walker in the world! But I DID manage to talk all the girls into grabbing some Golden Corral breakfast after the festivities...YUMMERS!!

Ello Ello

So its been almost a week since I have blogged. What up? Its been a pretty laid back week. This weekend was a blast. The girls (Jamie and Jenn) came over last night and we cooked and watched Juno...and then Jamie left and me, Jenn, and Brian watched Wrong Turn.....that movie is screwed up. We were so scared omg! So anyways, we are having visitors here at work so we can't have our headphones on. Its gay. So anyways....my brutha made it back to Arizona ok. God I miss him already. He is an angel!! I am hoping to get him to move back soon. That would be tha shizzle my nizzle! Ok what else what else?? I need to trim my hedge today. Thats the bad thing that comes with buying a house with "mature landscaping" - I got that from the ad for my house on realtor.com...hahahah....anyways...I have a really amazing round tree/bush thing and its grown out and I can barely tell its a circle anymore. Ugh. Thats annoying. Time for a little snip snip snip. And I learned my lesson letting Brian do it. GOLLY.....nukka thought he was Edward Scissorhands and went crazy on my front hedge....but its finally recovering. : ) So does anyone else want to volunteer because I am really not up for it??!!??

Thursday is NOT a weekday!

So this have been a fabulous week. Ol Candy poo poo went to the dentist and got my last 2 cavities taken care of...what you know bout not having any rot in your mouth? LOL! So guess what that means? Yep Candida gets braces!! YAY! Its about dang time. I am gonna look like a retard though....23 with a metal mouth, eh?? Hmm....sexy. Well what a painful year this is gonna be...major surgery and braces....golly. Why couldn't I be born skinny with straight teeth? Thanks God! Me and Jenn have had a lot of girl time this week. Its been nice. I love that little momma! Speaking of....tonight is NOT a weeknight at my house. Jenn, Jamie, Tony (my brother) Markie, and Blair will be gracing the Grey Mansion with their presence tonight. Me and Jenn are making dinner and its gonna be a B-L-A-S-T! So I am about to leave work...just wanted to drop a line. Gotta go pick up the casa!

Its been awhile...

OMG I love him so much it hurts!

So I haven't "blogged" in awhile and I know that everyone is upset about so I got bored and decided to give my fans something to be excited about. So my brother is in Texas!! YAY!! God I love him. Well, this has been a fun weekend so far. Last night was my Jamie's surprise birthday party at Olive Garden. We had a blast! We got a little tipsy and ate.....my favorite thing! It was hard to keep it a secret from her for 3 weeks so I am glad that its over...hahaha. Me, Ol Jenn Jenn, Markie and Amanda all rode together and we had to get there an hour and a half early to be the designated "waiters" ummm literally....we waited...haha....and waited. Apparently Olive Garden doesn't do reservations on the weekends (whoever thought of that idea should be pimp slapped) so we got to do the bff thing and wait. But you are worth it Jamison!! Every damn minute! Then we went and hung out at the Lozada casa for a bit and then came home for sleepy time. So I slept until 2 Saturday and then did dishes and hung out with gramma, mom, and Kenley all day. After I got home, me and Brian went to Hastings and bought a few movies ---as if we need anymore right? Owell. So I am gonna put some pics of here really soon ok? Well bouta go watch Jurassic Park and hit the sack so ttyl!

YES!!!

So for all of you wonderful people that care (i.e. mom and grandma) my ear finally popped yesterday...but not before I went to the clinic and flushed $20 bucks down the drain. So for the 5 minutes I was actually in with the Dr., she told me that I needed mucinex, claritin, robistussin, prilosec, z-pack??, and an inhaler! Wow.....all that from "I popped my ear and it won't pop back" LOL! Well I got out cheap in the end.

So today was quite a day. My ear popped yesterday so I can't ear out of it....and I was 30 minutes late to my FREE hair appt because I could not hear my phone alarm. Golly I am a lowlife client!! My fabulous wonderful hairdresser (Crystal Canada at Felicity Salon and Spa) was doing me a huge favor and what do I do??? Show up 30 minutes late.....omg how inappropriate. I feel like a jerk. She seemed to understand though. So anyways, Saturdays are officially "girls days" so me and the girls....usually just Jennifer and Amanda, will go to lunch, go shopping and usually come back to my house and watch movies...well today was Golden Corral, no shopping and a low budget Jessica Simpson movie - Blonde Ambition...hahaha....that was a joke. Speaking of jokes...for supper me, Brian, Daniel, and the baby (Daniel's 5 year old son, still affectionately referred to as 'the baby') went to the newly re-opened Chinese buffet that shall remain nameless....and ummm...it was terrible terrible terrible. On a lighter note, its almost time for bed. YAHOO! So I am about to wash my face with a new, very expensive wash that burns and itches....but hey, it gets the job done! Well....goodnight little angels! Sleep tight!

So...ummm...yeah

Well nothing new really.....what did I do last night?? Glad you asked. Hmm.....I went home, watched a low budget Paris Hilton movie (don't ask), picked up the house, watched a lot of criminal tv, then Jenny Boo came over for a bit and we made fun of Brian for awhile - definitely one of my favorite pastimes. haha. He is such an easy target. Well....that about sums it up.
So I have been sick since Sunday. THANKS AMANDA. This really sucks. Not only did I not get to fully enjoy my little housewarming party but now I have gotten Brian sick as well....ugh...now he is gonna be a big ol baby.
So anyways - still no word on my surgery....apparently this isn't as important to the insurance billers as it is me. It seems like everyone is dragging their feet with this and its starting to really annoy me. I have spent A LOT of money on the pre-op crap that I had to do not to mention, my family (and friends) need to know when to take their vacation time to take care of me (not my idea you see....but I'll take it!) So Dr. Warnock's office, if you are listening, lets get this ball rolling ok?? I will be forever grateful. Well that is pretty much it for today, I think.
